Yesterday started off OK then hit a major snag. My car refused to start, and Bruce had to come home from work early so I could take his truck to work. Unfortunately, I don’t think this is going to be an easy fix – I’m just guessing, but I think the starter in my car is toast. Sigh… didn’t really need a car repair bill right now, but there never is a good time! I went back to work last night for the first time in 18 days – it was a great vacation, but it was good to get back to work.
I made the best sweet potato soup this week. Next time I’ll take lots of pictures and post the recipe; it turned out amazing! I love soups made of things like squash and sweet potatoes (white potatoes too, actually). And all winter long I’m always so cold, soup is a major staple for me. A soup full of veggies is perfect!
So far this week, I have done weights, run, biked, and swam. Best week in a long time! And the week isn’t over yet.
I’m still struggling with my food – I’m eating a lot less, and much healthier choices, but I’m still craving sugar like crazy. I wonder how long this is going to last?
It has been -40 here this week…. I want to go back to Florida. Or anywhere where it doesn’t snow. 🙂 It’s hard to think about running a spring half marathon when it’s -40 outside!
A not so amazing discovery… after working for 10 hours, at 5 am I start to ramble a little. So with that thought, I’ll post my goals and head for bed!
