I missed last week, and I’m still so far behind on reading, but there has been lots of great writing out there, so here’s what I’ve found so far!
Let’s start with a trifecta of great posts from Matt at No Meat Athlete. First, a review of Rich Roll’s book, Finding Utra. Then a post about how Matt got his running mojo back (I’m still looking for mine…). Finally, an interview with Scott Jurek and a review of his book. All well worth reading!
It was book review week on a few blogs – Swim Bike Mom did a great review of Chrissie Wellington’s book, A Life Without Limits. I have to read this book!
June 6th was National Running Day. Lots of bloggers wrote posts about running that day, but Christie’s post almost made me cry – because her journey and mine have had so many similarities. Running changed me too – and I love it because of it.
Maren lives in Norway, and always goes on the most amazing hikes and posts the best pictures – this post features the Arboretum.
Finally, Dr. Plum Petals wrote a great post about Discipline, and hard work. Getting healthy, staying healthy, eating right, training for races… it all requires hard work and discipline, and it never ends. But it’s worth it.
Goals: I did rest. I read the June chapter of the Happiness Project, but have not set my goals yet. I read some of my fiction book, but did not finish it. I did finish 2 blog posts.
