I keep saying I’m going to blog more, then life keeps getting in the way. No excuses, just busy – work, training, getting ready for Christmas…. and enjoying my new bike!! 🙂
I love, love, LOVE my new bike, a custom Trek Speed Concept 9.5 in purple lotus and white with “The Courage to Tri” written in script on the cross bar. 🙂
As for everything else, after our office Christmas party last weekend, and Bruce’s company Christmas party the prior weekend, my weight was out of control – I actually saw 151 on the scale at one point. I really clamped down this week (not easy, as I was travelling and had to eat out for four days), and have cut out almost all processed foods and added sugars, as well as processed carbohydrates. Lots of lean grilled meats, vegetables, fruits, and low fat dairy. (And a few Clif bars to make up for crappy, crappy training food… really crappy.) I recently had blood work done and I have developed anaemia so additional red meat is helping that too.
Getting my eating under control for as little as one week has already led to success – my weight this week was far down from 151. 🙂 So without delay, lets get to this week’s stats!

No yoga this week
My shoulder is healed, and now I’m trying to figure out which P90X workouts I want to put back into my schedule… and when. The when is a bigger issue than which workouts, simply because time is such a factor. I really have no idea how I’m going to manage to work out for 20+ hours per week once I hit the height of Ironman training!
Goals for the week? Sure, why not! I’m getting another tattoo this week, on Wednesday. My plan is to swim twice before I get it, go to yoga once, bike 2-3 times, and run 2-3 times. That is a total of 8 workouts… lets see if we can make that happen. If everything goes really well, maybe I’ll even get a P90X workout in!
That’s it! Next step – Ironman training. 🙂
